The Sudanese-Egyptian Technical Committee in the field of livestock agrees to activate agreements and memoranda of understanding

The Sudanese-Egyptian Joint Technical Committee in the field of livestock held its first meeting in Cairo from 4-10 May, headed by the Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Hafez Ibrahim Abdel Nabi, and the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

The committee reviewed all the memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements signed between the two countries since 2009-2019, and it was also agreed to start procedures for establishing a joint model farm for animal production, strengthening cooperation in the field of fisheries, fish farming and combating overfishing, in addition to setting up a mechanism to combat livestock smuggling operations carried out across borders.
