Hamdan bin Rashid directs the establishment of a new digital library at the International University of Africa

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, patron of the Al Maktoum Charitable Organization, has directed the establishment of a new digital library at the International University of Africa.

This was announced by His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Member of the Board of Trustees of Al Maktoum Charitable Authority and Member of the Board of Trustees of the International University of Africa, following his meeting with His Excellency the Indians of Abia Kaddouf, Director of the International University of Africa, in the presence of his vice presidents and deans of the university’s faculties.

A delegation from the Al Maktoum Charitable Organization headed by Mirza Al Sayegh visited the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, and was received by Hamad Muhammad Hamid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Sudan and Director of the International University of Africa.

The President of the International University of Africa thanked and appreciated His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his support to the university over the past years and the Al Maktoum Charitable Organization for its cooperation with the university to enable it to fulfill its educational mission and enable African students to complete their higher education at the university in various scientific and technical disciplines. Different.

The deans of the colleges at the university expressed their gratitude and thanks to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for the support provided by the Al Maktoum Charitable Authority for the university.

For his part, Mizra Al-Sayegh explained that the university is attracting graduates of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Schools in Africa, and there are 50 schools, of which (12) are in Sudan.

While his Excellency met during the visit with (20) graduates from the university from Uganda in various technical, engineering and scientific disciplines, pointing out that the university needs more support from charitable societies, adding that the formation of the university’s board of trustees is currently being discussed, provided that one third of its members are from countries African leaders, a third from Sudan, and the other third are VIPs and charities that will support the university.

It is worth noting that the new digital library that His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed to establish at the International University of Africa – the cost of which is 50 thousand dollars – is an addition to the current library at the university, which was established in 2013 AD, at a cost of 50 thousand dollars also with the support of Al Maktoum Charitable Organization.
