The United Arab Emirates announced its intention to invest in the Darfur region, and to take advantage of the capabilities and resources of the region, in order to achieve the developmental renaissance that the region aspires to.
The governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, affirmed the strength and depth of bilateral relations between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates.
During his meeting with his home in Omdurman on Monday, Minawi praised the UAE ambassador to Khartoum, Hamad Al Junaibi, and praised the great role the UAE plays in efforts to achieve peace, development and stability in the country.
For his part, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Khartoum, Hamad Al-Junaibi, renewed his country’s determination to continue supporting the government of the transitional period, stressing the UAE’s intention to invest in the Darfur region.
