Sharjah Charity continues its relief mission in Sudan

The “Sharjah Charitable Society” continues its relief mission in Sudan by providing humanitarian support to the affected families in the areas affected by the floods that struck the country last year.

This comes within the framework of the mission of the Humanitarian Society, in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Sharjah Charity said that thanks to the support of donors, it provided relief assistance to the residents of Karni area in Al-Farouq locality, through its office in Khartoum, which is among the areas affected by the floods.

Muhammad Hamdan Al-Zari, Director of Projects and Guarantees Department at the Association, confirmed that the association’s assistance in the Karni area includes building 100 housing units as a first stage to accommodate a number of those who lost their homes in addition to the inauguration of a water desalination plant that covers the needs of 620 families from the region’s residents, provided that the implementation of the project will be completed mid-month.

Next May, at a financial cost of aquarter of a million dirhams, he explained that the aid also includes a school, a mosque and a small market.
