Volker Perthes: I am optimistic about the future of peace in Sudan

Via Sudan TV and in an interview with Mr. Volker Perthes, head of the United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNIMATS) … the presenter of the program, Mr. Shawky, asked him, at the end of the direct meeting: “Are you optimistic about the future of peace in Sudan?”

Mr. Volker replied, “I will answer you with a question … If I were not optimistic, would I have brought my six-year-old son to study in Sudan and bring my wife to live in Sudan?”
