Al-Burhan and Mohammed bin Zayed discuss issues of common interest in the UAE

Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussed bilateral relations between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi in various fields in a way that enhances the interest and service of the peoples of the two brotherly countries.

During the meeting, which was held at the Beach Palace in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the two countries ’delegations, the two sides also reviewed issues and files of common interest, and exchanged views on them, especially investment opportunities and projects that the UAE could invest in Sudan.

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council praised the great support that the UAE has been providing to Sudan to face the challenges of the transitional period, especially health assistance to confront Coronavirus Covid-19 and other areas.

Al-Burhan expressed his hope that the UAE would continue its positive role in supporting the Sudanese people in the next stage.

The meeting also dealt with developments on the eastern borders of Sudan with neighboring Ethiopia, as well as the issue of the Renaissance Dam.

President Al-Burhan emphasized the necessity of continuing negotiations to reach commitments on the issues of filling and employment.
