UAE: The volume of aid to Sudan has reached more than three billion dollars

The UAE announced that the volume of Emirati aid to Sudan during the past five years amounted to more than three billion dollars.

The Mohammed bin Zayed Hospital was opened in El Daein, East Darfur State, on an area of ​​eleven thousand meters, and it includes more than two hundred eight beds and forty-six care beds in Sudan.

The hospital, financed by the UAE aid fund, was designated in the first phase to confront the Corona pandemic, and serves about two million residents of the region, as well as hundreds of thousands of displaced Darfur and South Sudanese refugees in camps in the region.

For his part, the Emirati ambassador to Sudan, Hamad Al-Junaibi, affirmed that his country stands by Sudan at this stage to achieve progress and prosperity.

Al-Junaibi explained that the volume of Emirati aid to Sudan during the past five years amounted to more than three billion dollars.

For his part, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice President of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan, appreciated the efforts made by the UAE to help the Sudanese people.

Dagalo emphasized that the next transitional phase in Sudan will focus on infrastructure projects.
